Described as new to science in a
recent publication in the Journal NOVON 'of the Missouri Botanical Gardens, MO. The species was discovered in a stream of casual water on calcareous soils near the town of Laguna de Salinas in San Juan province of Tarucani, Arequipa, Peru. The species belongs to the family of the Cruciferae (Brassicaceae) and was hayada 3-4 April 2009 in the company of fellow Mondragón Luis Pascual Denegri.
