Amphiprion pacificus is a new kind of clown fish discovered in the western Pacific. In the document published in Aquapress Bleher indicate that the species comes from the reefs of Fiji and Samoa.
The species is very similar to Amphiprion akallopisos , but studies indicate it is closer to A. sandaracinos , all with very similar traits. There are also differences in the number of dorsal and anal rays of the species discovered. Lately, it seems that the clown fish seek the lead role in the marine aquarium, hopefully soon as the "clownfish Lightning get be bred in captivity of these flashy clowns.
