A democratic adventure, citizenship and virtual: # eligeBO

In recent years, Bolivia has been formed in various communities or groups of surfers who have found in internet real options and convenient to do business, study, start projects of diverse nature, contact with other people from different countries, as is happening in all large, medium and small cities in the world.

In Bolivia, in particular, this experience began with the Free Software community, the community of bloggers and many lonely software developers and users of Web 2.0 services like twitter, facebook and other collaborative and interactive tools. At first, the characters were computer but now all sorts of people with diverse interests have united.

After a tour of at least 5 years testing web 2.0 tools for many different purposes, April 4 today can tell a story. Today we will cover the third citizen of the Internet # eligeBO elections. What we want to achieve is that people, in general, assess a proposed site for citizen participation by sending photos, text and video for various media (SMS, email, facebook, twitter and the site itself http://elecciones2.0Bolivia.com) to tell her story on election day. The central idea is not to denounce irregularities in the process (although reports are also welcome) but to share diverse perspectives of the process, describe how citizens live their day of Elections.

the end of this April 4, evaluate how it went. At the end of this day, there will be a different story, fresh, democratic participation of citizens using technology tools on the web. In the final analysis, this is a very good example of citizen participation not funded by any institution, spontaneous, voluntary, conscious of the importance of making their voices heard, empowered in the best sense of the word, building a better country. Several surfers have given their time to support this initiative, so they have high expectations and are very happy, that reflect the first messages received by twitter, web and facebook at the beginning of this April 4 ** Jhon Castro
